Dr. Laura E. Stewart joins HPC
Highlands Pathology Consultants, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of Laura E. Stewart, M.D. to their Kingsport practice on January 9, 2017. Dr. Stewart is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.
Dr. Stewart received a Bachelor of Arts (Summa cum laude) in Political Science, French, and Math from VanderbiltUniversity, Nashville, TN, prior to receiving her Doctorate of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC. She completed her residency in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at DukeUniversityMedicalCenter, Durham, NC. Following her residency, Dr. Stewart completed a fellowship in the subspecialty of Cytopathology from the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.
Since the completion of her fellowship in Cytopathology, Dr. Stewart has practiced as a staff pathologist for South Suburban Pathologists in Riverdale, GA and for Physicians’ Professional Laboratory at Emory-Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA, bringing with her valuable experience in all areas of anatomic/clinical pathology, and cytopathology.
With the addition of Dr. Stewart, Highlands Pathology Consultants, P.C. continues to provide exceptional care for patients and expertise to the providers in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
