Highlands Pathology Consultants is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. The Medical Coding Specialist is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule. The position is in-person and works from our billing offices in Blountville, TN.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Read pathology reports and assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Enter patient billing, insurance, and charge information into billing system
- Customer service with patients, client offices, and employees in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Coding experience and AAPC certification preferred
- Experience in medical billing office
- Excellent computer skills – accuracy and efficiency a must
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Detail oriented
- Good oral and written communication skills
