Dr. Michael Rentz joins Highlands Pathology Consultants
Highlands Pathology Consultants, P.C. is pleased to announce that Michael W. Rentz, MD has joined their Bristol Regional Medical Center practice. Dr. Rentz is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and board- eligible in Hematopathology.
Dr. Rentz received a Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, from the University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, TX, prior to receiving his Doctorate of Medicine from the University Of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, SC. He completed his residency in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine, Johnson City, TN. Following his residency, Dr. Rentz completed a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY where he studied, Oncologic Pathology. He also was an instructor in pathology while there with focus areas in Genitourinary, Breast, Gynecologic and Gastrointestinal Pathology. Following this training, Dr. Rentz was in private practice in Conway, SC at Atlantic Urology Clinics Pathology Services. His most recent experience is in the field of Hematopathology where he has just completed a fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD that included elective rotations at the National Institutes of Health and Johns Hopkins University.
With the addition of Dr. Rentz to our Bristol practice, Highlands Pathology Consultants, P.C. is pleased to offer for the first time expertise in the area of Hematopathology to the physicians and patients of BRMC and its surrounding community.
